1. Share tips and insights.

People are always interested in new and helpful information. Share whatever you think is valuable and your fans will appreciate that. You can do this by sharing your own experiences or by providing links to articles and research that applies to your business or niche. When you post links to interesting and helpful articles, videos, studies or resources, you are also building your credibility.

2. Ask for the opinion of your fans.

Involve your fans with a question. It’s the easiest way to get their response to your posts.

Your fans also want to be heard, so let them use their voice through answers and comments. Ask about their preferences, what do they think about a new product, the creative names they can think of, or their best memories with your brand. You can ask simple questions, such as where they buy your products, the best service they had, etc.

You can also test their knowledge by using quizzes, trivia and polls. Their opinions are valuable and you can also use them in your marketing plans.

3. Appreciate your fans.

This might seem like a no-brainer, but can often be left out of the social media equation. Let your fans know that you value them. Acknowledge their feedback or their questions. Take time to say thanks or give them compliments.

4. Give customer shout-outs.

People appreciate seeing their content being shared by businesses. You can also showcase loyal customers or fans in your fan page. Some businesses even run a Fan of the Month promotion. These are all great ideas.

When you post customer shout-outs, call attention to the fan that created the post. To extend your reach and impact, you can also cross-promote it on Twitter and Instagram.

5. Host contests, giveaways or other special events.

It should come as no surprise that people love deals, offers and giveaways. All of these are great ways to get your fan’s positive attention. It makes your page more interesting.  It increases your Facebook engagement and rewards your loyal fans as well. Holding contests creates excitement and your fans will frequently visit your page to check who won. But make sure you follow the Facebook promotion guidelines!

You can also promote business events like store promotions, online deals or product launches.

6. Mix up your posts.

Keep your page interesting by adding a variety of posts. Posting the same type of updates all day, all week or all month long will make your page dull. Aside from your plain text updates, you can post images, entertaining videos, inspirational quotes, or articles that your fans will find valuable.
